The short version: you can use the whole site without an account, without giving us your name or email, and without any cookies from us. We count visits with a cookieless analytics tool that does not identify you.
What we collect
- Nothing you type into the calculator or the ranking. Those run in your browser; your choices are not sent to us.
- Your preferred state, stored in your browser. When you pick a state we save it in your browser's local storage (key
faro:state) so other pages can preselect it. It never leaves your device, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser. - Emails you send us. If you report an error or write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue, and we delete it when it is no longer needed for that.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share personal data.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited, how fast they load and where visitors come from (for example, a search engine or another site, and the country). It does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not track you across sites or build a profile of you. We only see aggregate numbers.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to providers
Links to formation services go through addresses that start with /go/. They include the name of the page you clicked from, so we can tell which pages are useful, and then send you to the provider. Some of these are affiliate links (see how we make money). Once you are on a provider's site, that provider and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply there, not this one.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop using it (in Mexico these are known as ARCO rights). Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 20 business days. In practice, the only personal data we can hold is the content of emails you have sent us.
Children
The site is meant for adults starting a business and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we start collecting anything new, we will update this page and its effective date before we do.
